Our Practice

Jon is a Chartered Landscape Architect with 25 years’ professional experience. He began his career in private practice in Leeds before joining Wilson Bowden Plc in 1999, where he managed environmental planning and design across the David Wilson Homes and Wilson Bowden group. In 2007 he became a Director at Pegasus Group, helping to establish Landscape Architecture services in the East Midlands, and in 2013 founded Golby + Luck. Jon specialises in landscape assessment, design and implementation across all major development sectors and regularly acts as an Expert Witness at Appeal.

Outside of work, Jon is most often found either riding or tinkering with bikes.

Alex is a Chartered Landscape Architect with over 20 years' professional experience. Having qualified from Sheffield University in 2002, Alex spent the next 11 years' working in private practice, before co-founding Golby + Luck in 2013. Design is Alex’s core interest. Alex specialises in design and detailed implementation, and has delivered an extensive range of major urban expansion schemes, employment and commercial developments.

Outside of work, Alex is kept busy by family life and his dog. When time allows, he enjoys a wide range of sports, particularly those involving a racket, as well as cycling and walking.

Dave is a Chartered Landscape Architect and a Professional Member of the Arboricultural Association with over 12 years' professional experience. He began his career in landscape contracting, before moving into consultancy. Dave joined Golby + Luck in 2017 and has played a key role in the Practice’s growth. Dave specialises in landscape assessment, design and arboriculture, delivering a wide range of major residential, commercial and mixed-use developments, along with sensitive rural projects.

Outside of work, Dave is most often found in the outdoors enjoying rock climbing and mountaineering, with regular trips to the mountains of the UK and Europe.
